Original Documents Well, BoB II Wings of Victory is supposed to be - or to become - a high fidelity simulation. If that is true, flying and fighting "by the book" is an option. Probably for the first time. Therefore it makes sense to offer period manuals to the BoBII community.

Well, the two manuals above are certainly taken from reprints published way after the originals. If you care for hardcopies of these reprints please contact Crecy Publications (UK) or Historic Aviation (USA). Another good point of calling is eFlightmanuals (USA). A Hurri MK. I. Manual can be had here: Warwickaero . Just a word of caution: I got most of my own "reprints" from the Duxford Museum shop (grin). The general policy of myself is simple: I will not publish reprints on my sites, only originals in my posession - whatever the cost. Period. If a site offers links to "web" sources of suspected reproductions, the more common links to their original publishers are offered. Here goes: Crecy and Historic Aviation supply reprints, eFlightmanuals sends CDs or Xeroxes. I am not in the know of the things other places may send. Some places offer "originals". You will know, this stuff is not the real thing, if you find a line about "HMSO" or "Crown Copyright", these are reprints for sure. So: This is what you want to know from the person or organisation you buy from in the first place. Gunnery "Bag the Hun". GAF Manuals Flying Instruction Aircraft Manuals The site "Luftfahrt-Archiv Hafner" has a wide selection of manuals for German aircraft on offer. Either as paper reproductions or as CD/PDF. Most are in German language, but are high quality reproductions. Larger manuals are hardbound. By mere chance, I found a site offering a CD set of manuals for some German aircraft prepared by the allies (in english). The Site "Messerschitt BF 109" has translations of German manuals of the BF 109 available (various marks) A short flying instruction for the 109E (in english) is available here (PDF)
A translation of a GAF gunnery pamphlet "Horrido ! - des Jägers Schiessfibel. D.(Luft)5001" can be found here. |
