Scott has made some remarkeble statements in a posting at simHQ: ( link to the thread )

"I think it's really exciting that you're letting Joe Public have a bash at modding loads of stuff."

You bet.

Wolf and I have talked about the importance of keeping the sim opened and supporting those who wish to mod and tweak. There is no feeling quite like it when you see someone take the time to mod your game. Making a sim open really takes a lot of work to do, but it is something that is important to the entire team (and I think to many who play it).

When we developed FirePower, while we did a great job with it, it would have been so nice to have the developers do even just a little tweak here and there in the engine. As good as the atmosphere in BOB2 is, I know it can be better, and the more time you spend, the better it gets. This could be said for any game, and for that matter, any aspect of any game. We all want the same thing, so this is what open architecture is all about I think - just keeping things on a continual path of improvements.

Scott.
